PROJECT NEEDS

Including illustration in a Reconciliation Action Framework enhances its effectiveness by visually communicating key messages and cultural aspects while making the content more engaging and accessible. Such visual elements were also required to honour Indigenous artistic traditions, reinforcing the city's commitment to celebrating and respecting Indigenous cultures while making the RAF more memorable and impactful.

PROJECT SOLUTION

By creating multiple illustrations, the cultural meaning and technical construction of the Wampum belt could be explored, further cementing its spiritual relevance to relationship building discussed within the Action Framework. In leveraging my Indigenous heritage, I explored multiple styles and methods when creating the project deliverables to create a powerful tool to further cultural understanding and connection.
